It is important for those travelling to Goa to make sure to carry stuff to protect you from the rain and endure the monsoons with ease. You will need to step out of your home or vehicle right on to the streets in the middle of a heavy shower, so the most important thing that you need to carry is a rain coat or a big enough umbrella to secure yourself. The rains in Goa can get very heavy so make sure to carry a decent sized umbrella.

Synthetic clothes dry faster and that is why it is a preferred material for the rains. As far as the types of clothing go, try and carry shorts or knee length pants as these are the best options during the monsoons. Long sleeves shirts/tops or trousers should be avoided.

Make sure to carry with you insect or mosquito repellent. Rainy season is the breeding period for mosquitoes and they carry several diseases. Protecting yourself from these insects is essential so remember to pack repellents in your bag.

One of the things that will be very handy for you in the monsoons is a hair dryer. Hair takes the longest time to dry and you want to keep yourself dry at all times to avoid catching a cold, so make sure to pack your hair dryer with you.

You will also need to protect your luggage as well as electronic items from the rain, so get waterproof covers for your bags as well as waterproof covers for your phones. Pack them up in these covers well and avoid the possibility of them getting wet.
