1.The Parra road

Parra road is one of the most beautiful lanes in Goa. One cannot help but pause for a few minutes to inhale the scenic view. It is a narrow road lined with lush coconut trees on its either sides and overlooking a green carpet of grass of fields on both sides. The fields are famous for their watermelon cultivation. Small chapel and lake are in the view, it’s a beautiful sight to see during the serene sunsets and sunrises. Parra road often serves as a backdrop in several Bollywood films, also known as Dear Zindagi Road where Dear Zindagi film was shot starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt. It is one of the prettiest, most picturesque roads in north Goa, witnessing the true beauty of nature.

 2. Fontainhas (Mala)

The Fontainhas area in Panjim is well known for its colourful houses with the Portuguese designs and provides an amazing workspace for Instagrammers. Fontainhas is also is known as the ‘Latin Quarter’ truly a beautiful journey into Goa’s past. A time machine that takes one back to the 18th and 19th century in a different era with a mixture of ancient Goa and Portuguese touch. Buildings in Fontainhas belong to the Portuguese era where the influential Portuguese rulers lived. Portuguese-style colourful houses painted in hues of green, pale yellow, and blue, along with red-coloured tiled roofs, artistic doors, overhead balconies and beautiful street art on the walls. A perfect place to make your photos pop and look marvellous on the Instagram gallery.

3.Mangrove boardwalk

Mangrove walkway is another spot to fulfil the need to make a presence felt on Instagram and other social media. The walkway has been made entirely of wood. It is behind the central library in Panjim, a cool breezy place. Anyone can go there any time of the day to just walk around. People of all ages can spend time together. It is ideal for old and young people to gossip and mingle around. Students take breaks and relax there after studying in the central library. Many locals come to this wooden walkway to get away from the city and soak in all of this natural beauty.

4.Chapora Fort (The Dil Chahta hai Fort)

Chapora fort is Popularly known as the Dil Chahta Hai Fort, the fort was used during the filming of the Hindi blockbuster film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and got its name. A small hike of about 10 minutes will take you to the top and the view is mesmerising. The fort provides a great view of the landscape as well as the river. The front view opens up to the Arabian sea, amazing scenic beauty and lush green vegetation. The fort is best to visit in the evenings, once the fierce afternoon heat has receded.

5. St. Augustine’s Tower

If you happen to be in old Goa, you should definitely check out the St. Augustine Tower. This place is pretty vast in its size. It’s only when you get there you can understand the depth of how beautiful the tower is. One thing is for sure that this place will give you ample shots. The tower and the church collapsed due to its natural calamities centuries ago. The 46-meter huge tower was broken in the past but stands still in the present. St. Augustine’s Tower is one of the most spectacular monuments in Goa and a must-visit.
