with soil.
The use of Borax will also help in preventing an attack by termites on your furniture. The
best option would be to spray Borate solution on all the surfaces of the wood. This method
helps prevent termites from reaching the wood and if they have already made their
presence felt then they will be taken care of.
One of the herbal and natural ways to get rid of termites is to use oils on the furniture. The
most effective oils that can help get rid of termites are neem and orange oil. D-limonene in
orange is the reason why the orange oil is highly effective. Repeat the use of these oils from
time to time
A unique method of getting rid of termites is known as a cardboard trap. Cellulose present
in cardboards attracts termites to it. Cardboards give out a woody smell and termites
mistake it for actual wood. You can just moisten a cardboard and place it near the affected
area. In a while the termites will mistake the cardboard for wood and come on to it to eat it.
This is when you need to take the cardboard and dispose it off, preferably by burning it.
