Become Better at Fishing with These Tips and Tricks

Become Better at Fishing with These Tips and Tricks

As Herbert Hoover puts it, fishing is much more than fish. It is the great occasion when we may return to the fine simplicity of our forefathers.  Fishing is a feeling rather than an activity. The calmness and serenity that the body achieves during an activity of fishing is phenomenal. We met Goa’s top fishing equipment vendor to know more about fishing.  CASA IBRAHIM has been working towards promoting fishing tackle and angling since 1998. Besides fishing equipment being their line of business, it is due to their passion for physically venturing out in the waters to fish that has led to their successful handling of the business. Their expertise comes from experience on the ground.

Today we bring to you a few tips and tricks that have been experimented with for ages when it comes to practising effective fishing methods. One can better his or her output of the activity by simply tweaking basic methods that help in getting things right. The first thing that one needs to do is to ensure that they are using the right equipment.  The basic equipment that you need is a handline, hooks and sinkers and some fresh bait. Try and use as much live bait as possible as fish love feeding on it. However, fishing lures are not a bad option at all. Go in for natural coloured lures when fishing in clear waters and bright coloured lures when in murkier waters. Choose a fishing rod that fits well in your hand. You can go in for a close-faced reel or an open-faced fishing reel which among the two can cast further.  The best fishing line to go in for is monofilament fishing line. Make sure to carry clippers to cut the line as the line is pretty strong and you should avoid trying to use your hands or teeth as you may injure yourself. Get yourself plastic bobbers that are a must to see and let you know when the fish begin to bite. Pick up fishing hooks depending on the size of the fish that you seek to catch.

The weather is the key to know how to fish. One needs to be well aware of the nature and its effects on fishing. Warmer the weather deeper is the fish. If fishing during the hotter hours of the day, make sure that you have enough weight on the line so that it goes deep. When the weather is windy larger fish get attracted to the shore thereby increasing your chances of catching some big fish for the day. An overcast sky leads to some of the best fishing experiences. It is a popular fact that cloudy weather makes a great time for fishing. As far as the tides are concerned, make sure to be in the water when the tides are changing. Pick up a chart that shows the time of the tides for the day. The best time to fish is when the tides are changing. Do not fish in waters that are flowing with great vigour, calmer waters tend to help you with a better catch.

The greatest advice one could give a person who is interested in fishing is to stay calm and patient. Fishing requires a lot of both these virtues since this activity may take longer for successful results. If you are patient it will let you be more focussed on the activity this bringing in more success.
