We might not be able to say ‘Happy Birthday’ in person, but lockdown doesn’t need to ruin birthday plans completely. Plan some virtual birthday you can do at home. There are plenty of ways to make the birthday girl or boy feel loved on their special day. And when this pandemic ends you’ll have every excuse to throw the biggest birthday party of all time. If you or someone you love has a birthday coming up, here are some ways to celebrate from home.

  • Virtual house party

At this point, you’re probably getting to be an expert at using Zoom, Skype, Google Duo and Houseparty App. It’s time to transfer those skills to party planning to host a party via video chat. If it is your friends or family members birthday virtually assemble your squad and sing ‘Happy Birthday’. If you’re musically inclined, write your friend a song and present it to them via video chat. Even if your song isn’t incredible it’s the thought that counts. It could be a song, a poem, a speech, a dance, or a piece of art. Choose a few tracks that get everyone moving and have a dance party.

Also, another way to make them feel special is by asking your friends and family to record their birthday wishes and tribute to create a personalized video montage. This gift is sure to be a keepsake for years to come.

  • Cook Food, Bake a cake and Decorate your House

This pandemic has caused a lot of uncertainty and stress around the world. Times like these help you remember what really matters in life, as long as we have our friends, family, and health with a good amount of gratitude we can do what we need.

Decorate the house with birthday cheers, get crafty and see what decorations you can make with whatever supplies you’ve got on hand. Even set the table with decorations that fit your party theme.

Bake a cake, choose your favourite sweet treat and if you’ve got the time and ingredients available, learn how to make it. Cupcakes, cookies, ice cream are acceptable substitutes.

Plan a birthday meal, cook delicious food, cocktails, or even prepare pizza at home. Rolling and topping your own pizza and doing it together makes the pizza taste even yummier. Cooking together with family members will result in a good memory that will last for a long time.

  • Movie Night

Have a virtual movie night with friends or family. If you love watching movies, schedule a virtual watch party. Netflix party synchronises your movie play, now you are able to watch the same Netflix movie at the same time with your pals, so everyone’s screen will pause and resume at the same time and also it lets you chat with your mates while you’re watching. Grab some snacks and have fun watching movies together on your birthday.

So why not arrange a surprise house party sitting at your home with the power of the internet. Hopefully, the tips mentioned above will help you celebrate your birthday well by connecting with your friends, family, partners together and it will surely make it a memorable one during the lockdown.
